26-year-old Jan Kromkamp has joined PSV from Liverpool on a five-year contract. The right fullback has completed a medical and put pen to paper on a five-year deal in Eindhoven. PSV have considerably strengthened their defensive and attacking options on the transfer deadline day. Patrick Kluivert had already completed a deal earlier on the day. Jan Kromkamp was at De Herdgang training ground this Thursday night, together with his wife Jannicke and his agent. After having gone through the necessary formalities, Kromkamp spoke to media representatives and was shown around the PSV grounds. "I am delighted to be here", said Kromkamp to PSV Media. "So much has happened abroad, but I have also learnt a lot. Some things were great, although not everything has gone according to plan. I’ll never forget the FA Cup final and I am proud I have made appearances for Liverpool. But it’s good to be here. PSV have a great reputation and I think I will fit in well. PSV will be playing Champions League football and have a strong squad. I am match-fit and I cannot wait to start", said Kromkamp at De Herdgang. He will meet his former team mates on 12 September next, when PSV take on Liverpool for the opening game of the Champions League campaign. "I may inform our coach on one or two things."
