When will Arouna Koné end his goal drought was one of the questions Ronald Koeman was asked to answer at the post-match press conference. The PSV head coach replied he wanted to see things in perspective, but admitted that Farfán shows more scoring prowess than Koné. "We repeatedly told our players to start aggressively and dominate the game from the start. But this afternoon the visitors did all that. Tardelli wanted to round a player in a place on the pitch where he should never do that and we were soon 1-0 down. We created four great chances in the first period, but did not score, whereas we found the net twice after the break, when we did not perform that well. But this is football and anything can happen. We earned a hard-wrought victory; we are always given hard time by Roda JC in Eindhoven."Koeman made three substitutions, which paid dividend. "The substitutes scored a goal each." Arouna Koné, again, earned a host of chances, but failed to convert them. “Koné needs a bit of luck. Just think of the wonderful shot he fired and it would hit the inside of the bar. But it is obvious that Farfán shows more scoring prowess than Koné. However, Koné delivered some fine assists today. So we’d better see things in perspective and not make it a big issue. I leave that to you, guys!”, joked Koeman, referring to the sports writers in the PSV press room. Stevens: "PSV deserved to win”"We had a bright start this afternoon, but we were unable to continue in the same vein for the full 90 minutes. PSV are a top side; just look at the players they field. PSV deserved to win; we have been able to hold on for a long time, but in the end it was not enough. It’s too bad we were shown a red card. It’s a shame we slipped to defeat, but we will hopefully learn from our mistakes and start preparations for our next game in a cheerful mood”, concluded Huub Stevens his analysis at the post-match press conference.
