The UEFA Referees Committee today announced the referees for the four fixtures which will complete the return legs of the first knock-out round ties in the 2006/07 UEFA Champions League to be played on Wednesday 7 March 2007. Alain Hamer from Luxemburg will referee Arsenal v PSV at the Emirates Stadium in London.
The 41-year-old referee has never taken charge of a PSV game before. Kick off is at 19:45 pm local time, which is 20:45 in Holland. Alain Hamer, born on 10 December 1965, has been officiating international games since 1993. He has refereed a number of Champions League matches, among which Fenerbahçe-Schalke 04, two teams PSV met last season.
