36-year-old PSV captain Phillip Cocu is going to set a stunning record: tonight he will play his 850th official game in his career, when PSV take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. These 850 games include all the official games he played for AZ, Vitesse, PSV, FC Barcelona and the Dutch national team.
Cocu started his professional career at AZ, where he played 53 games. He then moved to Vitesse, for whom he featured 154 times before he had eight excellent years at Barcelona, where he had made 291 appearances, in between two spells with PSV with 250 games. Cocu also won 101 caps for his country.
