Donny Gorter has signed a two-year contract extension with PSV. The midfielder, who joined PSV in 2003.and started in all games for Young PSV last season, will be loaned out to NAC Breda next season.
Danny is the son of former professional football player Edwin Gorter, who had spells with, among other clubs, Roda JC, Caen, SK Lommel, FC Utrecht, Vitesse, NAC and some clubs in North America. Danny Gorter turned nineteen two weeks ago and although he was still a junior player, he started in all games for Young PSV past season. Gorter is an attacking midfielder, who came through several youth ranks at NAC Breda. He was handed his debut with PSV in a friendly against Belgian First Division side Sint-Truiden. PSV hope that the contract extension and a loan deal with NAC help will help Gorter to take the next step in his career before he returns to PSV, having gained experience from playing matches in the Dutch top flight. PSV are confident this construction will be beneficial for the player, just like it was for Wilfred Bouma and Ernest Faber, who became first-team regulars after they had first been on loan elsewhere. Gorter will report for duty in Breda on 4 July.
