For the twelfth time in history, PSV received a plague from a UEFA delegate in recognition of their participation in the Champions League tournament. The ceremony took place in restaurant Avant-Garde, ahead of an official dinner party on Tuesday night.
The board of directors of the hosts traditionally invites the visitors to an official dinner party. PSV always welcome their guests in Avant-Garde in the Philips Stadium, a restaurant that has been awarded an entry in the Michelin Guide. Members of the CSKA Moscow board of directors were cordially welcomed and gifts were exchanged.
A delegate to the UEFA presented PSV President Frits Schuitema the traditional plaque, which every participating club receives, ahead of the first home game. PSV have qualified for the Champions League tournament for the twelfth time and they compete in the prestigious tournament for the eleventh time in a row.
