Guus Hiddink told reporters at the post-match press conference that he thought PSV had put up a convincing performance in the first thirty minutes. “We should have scored at least one goal. I cannot deny that tonight’s result is a very unpleasant surprise.Roda-coach Wiljan Vloet, flashing a radiant smile, said he was feeling on top of the world. "I asked my players to give their all. We didn’t feel any pressure, when we started this game."Vloet paid tribute to his keeper Vladan Kujovic, who kept his side in the game a couple of times. "He pulled off some fine saves tonight and my players felt that they could collect a good result here. PSV dominated after the break, although they were reduced to ten men, but we had created some excellent chances as well. It was a great moment when Sergio scored 0-2. You could see my players felt so relieved. I am delighted with the win", explained Vloet.Guus Hiddink thought PSV should have killed off the game in the first half hour. "We could easily have scored the opening goal, but we did not finish clinically enough. They scored a great goal through an excellently taken free kick. When we were reduced to ten men, we had to play in an opportunistic way. They took advantage of the space we gave away and when they scored the second goal, it was game, set and match. They are too experienced a side to give things away. So yes, this is a great setback and I cannot be satisfied about tonight’s performance, apart from the first half hour", said Hiddink, who lavished praise on top-of-the-table AZ for their consistent good performances.Hiddink was also asked to comment on the nine goals that PSV have conceded in three games. "You should analyze each match separately to come to an explanation. When we travelled to Panathinaikos, we had already made sure of qualification; we made some silly mistakes in that tie and we could have avoided two goals at least on that night. Away against Feyenoord we put up a super display and scored three goals. That would usually result into a win, but we also conceded three goals and that’s not a good thing. Conceding three goals is far too much. Anyway, it's now time for the mid-winter break. We’ll have a good opportunity to review, analyze and assess the past few months. And don't you worry: we'll be sharp and as fresh as a fiddle when we start the second part of the campaign."
