Mika Väyrynen made a return to action after three months out with a calf muscle tear in Young PSV's 1-0 defeat against RKC Waalwijk on Monday night. The Finnish midfielder sustained the injury on 19 July, when PSV met amateurs Sparta '25 in a friendly during the pre-season campaign.
Young PSV slipped to their third successive 1-0 defeat. They were beaten by the narrowest of margins last night again by Young RKX Waalwijk, who had not enjoyed one single victory this season so far. Tim Peters scored the winning goal after fifteen minutes. Young PSV have dropped to ninth place in the table following last night's defeat. Anton Janssen will be next in action on Thursday 15 October, when they take on Young Roda JC in a cup tie.
Young PSV starting line-up:
Cássio Ramos, Fagner, Marcellis, Ter Horst, Van Berlo, Neervoort, Voss, Väyrynen, Zeefuik, Wuytens and Hikspoors.
