PSV captain Timmy Simons is set to make his 75th UEFA Club competition appearance tonight, when PSV take on Fenerbahçe at the Sükrü Saraçoglu Stadium in Istanbul. Simons made his 33rd UEFA Champions League appearance against Fenerbahçe on Matchday 3, a record for a Belgian.

Last season PSV enjoyed a 2-1 victory against Galatasaray on their visit at the Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, thanks to goals from Jan Kromkamp and Arouna Koné. Six PSV squad members were involved in the last away game against Fenerbahçe two years ago: Gomes, Simons, Farfán, Addo, Afellay and Aissati. Addo serves a four-match ban and Afellay is still recovering from a broken toe. Timmy Simons will make his 75th UEFA Club competition appearance, while young defender Dirk Marcellis may feature in the Champions League for the third time. Mike Zonneveld, who made his Champions league debut on Matchday 3, may be handed another start in tonight's return leg against Fenerbahçe.
Danko Lazovic is one caution away from suspension, after he was booked against Inter and Fenerbahçe. A next yellow card would mean he will be ruled out of the next group stage game against CSKA Moscow at the end of this month. Countryman Mateja Kezman is ruled out of tonight's game. The Serb striker underwent knee ligamen surgery in Qatar and is expected to be on the sidelines for four weeks. The Brazilian Deivid is suspended following his straight red card in Eindhoven, while Lugano serves a one-match ban having collected yellow cards in each of Fenerbahçe's first thee group stage games. Alain Hamer from Luxembourg will take charge of Fenerbahçe SK v PSV. Fellow countrymen Francis Crelo and Christian Holtgen, the two assistant referees, and Luc Wilmes, the fourth official, are the other match officials.

Inter v CSKA Moscow is the other Group G match on Matchday 4. This season's competition, with 32 participating clubs, features 13 domestic league winners from last season, but only Group G features four domestic title-holders.
The Fenerbahçe stadium will be packed to capacity with 50, 000 fans. About 400 PSV fans have made the trip to Istanbul. 200 of them will be in the away fan section. The other fans are sponsors and business partners. The match gets underway at 21:45 local time, one hour later than in the Netherlands.
