The PSV Phoxy Club has registered its 20,000th member. 6-year-old Finn de Koning from Eindhoven will receive VIP treatment at the game against AZ and Phoxy's inflatable head, more than life-size, will make an appearance on the pitch.

PSV was the first football club in the Netherlands with a fan club for children aged 12 years and younger. The club was founded at the end of 1998 and the PSV Junior Club, as it was called in those days, offered young children an opportunity completely free of charge to make the acquaintance of PSV. Three years ago the Phoxy Club was integrated in the PSV Marketing & Media department and huge media interest has provided the basis for the spectacular growth. The 20, 000 members are from all over the country, but the great majority is from the northern part of the county of Brabant. Their ages range between 0 and 12. The youngest member had been born 50 minutes ago when his proud parents applied for membership and some avid PSV fans first put forward their little boy or girl for membership before they go to the town hall register office. Most members are bewteen 8 and 12 years old.

The PSV Phoxy Club is the heart and soul of PSV's youth marketing policy and a great platform for sponsors and business partners. All members receive PhoxyNEWS, the PSV Phoxy Club magazine, by post six times a year, including four presents. They receive the Phoxym@il every month and get a birthday card on their birthday. Many events are organised, with the PSV mascot Phoxy and the kids at the centre stage, the main one being the annual PSV Phoxy Club day. Phoxy was named 'Mascot of the year'
