Holland coach Marco van Basten has included Danny Koevermans in his 18-man squad to face Luxembourg in a Euro 2008 qualifying game. The Dutch lie second in Group G, four points ahead of third-placed Bulgaria, so a win against Luxembourg at the Rotterdam Kuip on Saturday night would seal them a place in next year's finals in Austria and Switzerland.

Marco van Basten has dropped Tim de Cler, Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Kew Jaliens, Nigel de Jong, Hedwiges Maduro and goalkeeper Henk Timmer, but they will be on stand-by for Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifying game against Belarus in Minsk. Danny Koevermans is expected to make his first start for the Dutch team. He will be partnered with former PSV striker Ruud van Nistelrooy up front. Kick off at the sold-out Rotterdam Kuip is at 20:30.
PSV midfielder Ismail Aissati has withdrawn from the squad of the Dutch Olympic team for Tuesday's friendly against Romania in Venlo because of a knee injury.
