PSV will know their fate tomorrow as the draw for both the Round of 32 and Round of 16 of the UEFA Cup takes place in Nyon, Switzerland at noon on Friday. After the final round of matches played on Wednesday night, Sporting Braga, Helsingborgs IF, Spartak Moscow and Tottenham Hotspur have finished second in their groups. PSV, one of the eight clubs joining the competition from the group
stage of the UEFA Champions League, will face one of the eight runners-up of a given group.
Helsingsborgs IF, with former Feyenoord striker Henrik Larsson, eliminated sc Heerenveen in the second qualifying round 10-4 on aggregate (3-5; 1-5). Young-Pyo Lee joined the Spurs from PSV.
PSV will enjoy home advantage in the first leg and will not be paired with AZ, as clubs from the same association shall not be drawn each other in the Round of 32. The first leg of the Round of 32 will be played on February 13/14 with the return on Thursday 21 February.
Tonight AZ entertain Everton, who currently lie sixth in the Premier league. Louis van Gaal's men need a win against the Group A winners to book a place in the UEFA Cup knockout stages.
