PSV did not train behind closed doors as Sef Vergoossen and his staff geared the side up on Tuesday morning for Wednesday's league action against Sparta Rotterdam. Caretaker coach Sef Vergoossen had asked Communication & Press Officer Pedro Salazar-Hewitt to act as interpreter and present his tactical instructions to Carlos Salcido and Eduardo Alcides in their own language.

The PSV squad trained for almost two hours. After they had warmed up, the players were divided into two groups. One group delivered crosses for the strikers to finish at the far post, while the other group played a practise game of football. The players who had made an appearance in Young PSV's 3-1 Cup win over Young Feyenoord (goals scored by Nguyen, Zonneveld and Schijvenaars) along with Tommie van der Leegte took part in the final exercise: 'piggy in the middle.' PSV take on Sparta Rotterdam at the Philips Stadium on Wednesday night, kicking off at 20:00. Foeke Booy's team ran riot on Sunday when they hammered De Graafschap 6-1, while PSV were held by a 1-1 draw at VVV-Venlo.
