PSV and RKC Waalwijk settled for a goalless draw (PSV.nl)

PSV drew 0-0 with RKV Waalwijk in a friendly practise match at De Herdgang training centre on Tuesday afternoon. PSV interim head coach Sef Vergoossen handed match practise to fringe players and several youth players. The internationals who had already returned to Eindhoven did not make an appearance.

An evenly contested first half produced no goals thanks mainly to solid defending from both sides. Jonathan unleashed a few long distance shots, but Danny Koevermans was not even close to being in a goal scoring position. The hosts got the best opportunity to open the scoring five minutes from the break, but Wuytens denied Kevin Vink with a late tackle.

Stijn Wuytens, Tommie van der Leegte and Mike Zonneveld were taken off at half time and Funso Ojo, Rochdi Achenteg and Paul Voss were brought on as substitutes. PSV piled up the pressure, but did not manage to create any chances of real note. Fagner delivered a fine cross and Koevermans fired a one-time shot over the bar. Ojo tried his luck with a long distance shot in a below par display.
