The PSV coaching staff have announced that the light training scheduled for Sunday morning has been cancelled. PSV enjoyed a narrow 1-0 victory against Willem II in Tilburg on Saturday night as captain Timmy Simons confidently converted a penalty six minutes from time. PSV will be next in action on Thursday, when they take on Helsingborgs IF in Sweden in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 second leg. They will head off for Sweden on Wednesday.
The players will enjoy a long weekend: they have been given the Sunday and Monday off.
The squad will report for training on Tuesday at 10:30 to start preparations for the UEFA Cup Round of 32 return leg with Helsingborgs IF. They will fly to Helsingborg on Wednesday morning. Vergoossen will hold a press conference at 18:00, after which he will take charge of training session on the pitch of the Olympia Stadium at 18:30.
