John de Jong has joined the PSV squad for training in Abu Dhabi today. The midfielder had been involved in individual training sessions on the first two working days of the new year in Holland and until yesterday in the Middle East."It's taking some getting used to again, but it’s just great to join my team mates again", was his first reaction. "I just took part in the games of football at training. It still feels a bit strange, but I feel confident that I'll join the squad for all training sessions now." It is crucial that De Jong, who is recovering from a foot injury, will get as much match rhythm as possible. The PSV squad has only one training session today; that’s why the morning training lasted a long time. The players were on the pitch for two hours; they will be on the treatment table this afternoon or take a rest.Johann Vogel trained on his own today; he must first improve his physical condition before he will join the squad.Ibrahim Afellay, who has broken a toe, and Phillip Cocu, who is still feeling ill, stayed inside in the hotel. They did exercises on the home trainer in the fitness centre of the hotel.
