The PSV coaching staff and the squad were welcome guests at the Newcastle United Academy training ground on Thursday morning. The players who made an appearance against Newcastle United last night were allowed to leave training early, while the other players trained for over an hour, playing a practise game. Balázs Dzsudzsák trained separately at the morning's practice.
Dzsudzsák and Koevermans update
The Hungarian picked up a knock to his left foot during last night's 2-2 friendly draw with Newcastle United and did some light running, at the advice of the medical staff. On return to the team hotel, Dzsudzsák admitted his foot still hurt but added he would join the squad for full training soon and head coach Huub Stevens expects to name him in his squad to face Everton on Saturday. Last night's starting eleven did some light running before they were allowed to leave training early, while the remaining squad members did a five-a-side game. The winning team consisted of Reimond Manco, who struck a superb goal, Eric Addo, Mike Zonneveld, Cássio Ramos and Danny Koevermans. The striker approaches full fitness and Stevens thinks Koef will be available for Saturday's pre-season friendly in Liverpool.
