Huub Stevens previewed the PSV- NAC Breda fixture at his weekly press briefing at De Herdgang. The PSV coach told assembled reporters that he has called up Ola Toivonen to the squad for Saturday's game at the Philips Stadium, but did not reveal whether the Swedish striker would see any playing time.
Dirk Marcellis has got a touch of flu
Dirk Marcellis is doubtful for Saturday's match in Eindhoven. The Holland international has got a touch of flu and did not train on Friday afternoon. Jan Kromkamp, who suffers a groin injury, and Reimond Manco, who represents Peru at the 2009 South American Under-20 Championships in Venezuela, are also unavailable. Ola Toivonen, who watched last Sunday's encounter at Roda JC from the stands, has been added to the squad for the first time since joining PSV from Malmö FF. 'He's been working hard at training all week to adapt to the team. I am happy with the way he has adapted to his new surroundings. I hope to bring him on as a substitute against NAC Breda, but that depends on the score of the match', said Stevens at his weekly press briefing. 'Ola has been given time to get used to his new team mates. We know he has great skills and we hope he'll show them on the pitch. He is physically fit, but needs to play matches to be fully match-fit.'
Kick off at 19:45
PSV face NAC Breda, who progressed to the quarter finals of the KNVB Cup. They beat FC Groningen on penalties in a cup thriller on Wednesday and were indebted to the goalkeeping heroics of former PSV keeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar. Tommie van der Leegte, another former PSV player, is ruled out of tomorrow night's game with a hamstring injury. PSV v NAC Breda is scheduled to take place at the Philips Stadium on Saturday. Kick off is at 19: 45.
