'It was of vital importance for us to continue tonight what we started at De Graafschap', said Lodeweges at the Philips Stadium on Thursday night. 'The 'feel good' factor will sustain a boost in the players' self confidence. Actually I had hoped they would start the game more brightly, but I was happy to see they kept their composure when they failed to score an early opening goal. But after the break we scored a couple of goals that helped boost our confidence. The players showed tactical discipline for the full 90 minutes. I am delighted with the win and look forward to Sunday when we have an opportunity to take the next step. This victory must have boosted our self-confidence and the players should consider it a challenge to do it again and again', concluded the PSV coach.
