PSV play host to sc Heerenveen on Friday night. Ola Toivonen has completed a two-match ban and the Swedish striker will come straight back into the starting-line up to lead the attack, told PSV coach Dwight Lodeweges the assembled press at his weekly briefing on Thursday afternoon.
Fully-fit squad
Lodeweges has a fully-fit squad to select from for tomorrow's Eredivisie clash with sc Heerenveen. 'I've got some choices to make', said the coach at the weekly press briefing at De Herdgang on Thursday afternoon. Goalkeeper Zoet, Kromkamp, Zonneveld, Zhou and Ojo will not be called up to the match squad. PSV welcome back Toivonen, who has completed a two-match ban he was handed for the red card he was shown during PSV's 5-3 win at FC Volendam. The Swedish striker will come straight back into the starting-line up. 'It's nice we have a full-strength squad available. Toivonen put in convincing displays before he served a two-match ban and Danny Koevermans as well as Danko Lazovic have shown their quality when they deputised up front. We have a large squad but it's important that the players know what they're up to', explained Lodeweges, who expects PSV v sc Heerenveen will be a very interesting game to watch.
'A crucial game'
'Heerenveen have a style of play similar to AZ. They've been playing attacking football the past few seasons. FC Groningen have the ability to play more opportunistic football.' Lodeweges briefly looked back at his side's late win at FC Groningen last week. 'We scored the winner at the death, seconds before the final whistle went. It was a vital goal and an important win. But tomorrow night's game is another vital one as we embark upon a series of five crucial games', concluded the PSV coach. PSV v sc Heerenveen is scheduled to take place on Friday 27 February, with a 20: 45 kick-off.
