The two-day seminar on 'Football and Society', held at the Philips Stadium on Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May, was brought to a successful conclusion. Some sessions, including presentations by the KWF Fight against Cancer and by PSV Marketing & Media about the PSV Phoxy Club Day, were scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Third seminar in Norway
The seminar, organise by the European Football Social Responsibility Network (ESFRN) was held for the first time last year in Stockholm near Djurgårdens, one of the seven participating clubs. Representatives of Ajax, N.E.C., Dutch champions AZ and the UEFA attended the seminar in the Philips Stadium on Wednesday. PSV's Commercial Manager Marcel van den Bunder made a speech of thanks in the presence of General Manager Jan Reker, as a generous applause by all participants concluded the seminar. The third seminar, which will be held in Oslo in Norway in the spring of 2010, will be organised by Valerenga IF. The guests at the seminar then saw a 20,000 crowd enjoy the annual PSV Phoxy Club Day. The participants were also impressed when they were informed that an amount of 80, 000 euro had been raised in aid of the KWF Fight against Cancer.
