It is doubtful whether Gomes will be able to make an appearance in the away game against sc Heerenveen on Sunday afternoon. The Brazilian goalie has picked up an upper leg injury.A definite answer to the question whether Gomes can start will not be given until tomorrow or maybe Sunday. Guus Hiddink has meanwhile added Tom Muyters to his squad. Muyters is the fourth PSV goalkeeper in the pecking order, behind Gomes, Zoetebier and Coe. Alex is also a major doubt. 'The Tank', will face a late fitness test to find out whether he has recovered well enough from a severe bruise on his right ankle.Hiddink announced at the customary pre-match press briefing on Friday that all the other players of the squad are match fit. Two players had a special reason not to join their team mates for training. Addo is in Ghana to look after some family affairs and Robert is in his native country Brazil to complete some forms. He will also collect his wife and little daughter. "He may be delayed because of bureaucratic problems, but I expect him to be back in time." The youngsters Ibrahim Afellay and Sepp de Roover have not been called up for the squad; they will make an appearance with Young PSV on Monday night.Hiddink was asked if it would be an advantage for PSV to have played a European game two days before Heerenveen did. The PSV coach felt that the Frisians are a side that are hard to beat at home anyway. "At home Heerenveen always prove to be a strong side, in particular when they meet PSV. We have a tough time by tradition, because sc Heerenveen are a stubborn team that play free as a bird and in an uncomplicated manner in their own stadium. I don’t think this game is a key fixture; we will travel to Groningen the week after. We can expect opponents that are eager to beat us from now on."The final training session ahead of the clash against sc Heerenveen in the Abe Lenstra Stadium on Sunday afternoon is scheduled at the De Herdgang training ground on Saturday afternoon.
