The PSV first team squad had their final training session on Saturday afternoon as preparation for the league clash against sc Heerenveen. Goalkeeper Gomes was also on the training pitch and he will travel to Friesland after all.Gomes was fighting an upper leg problem yesterday, but today he looked much better. Edwin Zoetebier will deputize for him between the posts, should the Brazilian regular keeper not be fit enough to defend the PSV goal in the Abe Lenstra stadium. But Gomes is likely to figure. Defender Alex is not available for Sunday afternoon’s game. The ankle of the Brazilian is severely bruised and he was unable to train the past few days. PSV Guus Hiddink will also have to do without John de Jong and Robert. De Jong is an absentee with a toe problem and the Brazilian striker has returned to his native country Brazil for a short trip in order to complete some formalities.
