Several PSV players were on international duty this weekend. Johann Vogel and Johan Vonlanthen were players of the Swiss national team that recorded a 3-1 win over the Faroe Islands. Vonlanthen was given a place in the starting line-up and was taken off on 70 minutes, when the score was still 1-1. Vogel played the full 90 minutes. Wicky and Frei, who netted a double, had their names on the score sheet for Switzerland.The national team of Peru, with Jefferson Farfán in the starting line-up, was hammered 5-0 by Columbia. The PSV forward was taken off in the second period.BeasleyDaMarcus Beasley had returned from injury and made an appearance with the Team USA. He was taken off five minutes from final time. The Americans claimed a 3-0 win over Costa Rica. South Korea managed to salvage one point in the nick of time by drawing 1-1 against Uzbekistan. Park Chu-young scored the equalizer in the dying seconds of the World Cup 2006 qualifying game. South Korea are still on top of their group, having collected seven points from their four games so far. Ji-Sung Park and Young-Pyo Lee played the full 90 minutes.
