A small group of players trained on a pitch beside the Seoul World Cup Stadium for an hour on the day the final Peace Cup group match is scheduled. The players, eight altogether, were asked to finish on target, among other things. Finishing on targetNathan Coe, Ri-Seok Cha, Guy Dufour, Ismaïl Aissati, Ibrahim Afellay, John de Jong, Csaba Fehér and Michael Lamey were on the training pitch for about one hour, while the assistant coaches Fred Rutten and René Eijkelkamp took charge. The other players stayed in the hotel, where they had a rest or were on the treatment table. The eight players played, among other things, some ‘piggy in the middle’ games and finished on target. Afellay proved to be most clinical in his finishing and some of his goals were superb. Csaba Fehér was dogged by bad luck: he hit the post and bar some six, seven times. The weather was much better than the past few days; it was not as close and sultry as on previous days.
