Mark van Bommel keeps an extensive diary for the FC Barcelona official website. He is away with his new Barça colleagues on a training camp in Denmark and he makes diary notes every day on his impressions and experiences. Learnt SpanishVan Bommel has really done his best to learn Spanish as quickly as possible in order to communicate with his team mates and the press. He has been to the Regina Coeli Institute in Vught, a town near Eindhoven. The institute is a convent run by nuns who give, among other things, Spanish classes. And he impressed Spanish journalists by speaking to them in their own language. Van Bommel describes in his diary entries the training camp in Denmark, the contact with his team mates and the way he experiences life at his new club. The midfielder also says that he got in touch with a number of PSV players on their return from South Korea.DebutThe Van Bommel is published in English. His was handed his debut for Barcelona last weekend and put up a fine display. Barça enjoyed an emphatic 4-0 win over a local team.
