Five players called up for provisional squad (PSV.nl)

Five PSV players have been called up for the provisional squad of the Dutch team that play a friendly against Italy on 12 November next. Marco van Basten, coach of the national team, has named as many as 34 players, among whom also PSV youngster Ibrahim Afellay. André OoijerAndré Ooijer, Theo Lucius, Phillip Cocu, Ibrahim Afellay and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink are the PSV players that have received a call-up for the provisional squad of the Dutch team. The former PSV players Arjen Robben (Chelsea), Ruud van Nistelrooy (Manchester United), Mark van Bommel (Barcelona) and Wilfred Bouma (Aston Villa) are also on the longlist. Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has also been called up, but he was not included in the squad for the previous game. Van der Sar, Timmer and Moens are the other goalkeepers in the squad.ItalyThe Dutch team play a friendly against Italy in the Amsterdam ArenA on Saturday 12 November. It will be the fifteenth time the national teams of Holland and Italy meet.
