"It will be of crucial importance to score the first goal tomorrow night, as it sets the tone for the game", felt Fenerbahçe head coach Christoph Daum at the press conference on Monday night, ahead of the training session of his team on the pitch of the Eindhoven Philips Stadium. "A draw is not enough""I would love to take the lead, for if PSV are on top, we are bound to have a tough night. However, we have come from behind several times this season as well. We should show concentration for the full 90 minutes", said the 52-year-old coach who has been in charge of the Istanbul club since July 2003. Fenerbahçe have lost both their two away Champions League group stage encounters, but Daum does not have to dig deep to account for the defeats. "We played our very first group stage game in Milan and we had nothing to lose. I think we played very well in Milan, particularly in the second half. It was still 1-1 in the final stages, but we were anxious to get more out of the game. We might even have taken all three points, if we had played in the way PSV would have done. And against Schalke, we were the better side. Even when we were down to nine men, we created chances and could have leveled the tie. But a draw will not be enough for us tomorrow night. We will only progress to the knock out phase, if we grab all three points", said the German coach. "Positive experience"The visitors from Istanbul feel the 3-0 win that Fenerbahçe enjoyed over PSV at home is a cheerful thought. Daum: "We will remember the positive experience gained during the first leg, when tomorrow night’s return leg is kicked off. We will feel the pressure in the initial stages and we must try to keep it goalless as long as possible. PSV will then be forced to surge forward and we will try to make use of the space that’s created." Daum is taken by Jefferson Farfán and he also expects DaMarcus Beasley to start. "PSV can field some players that have extraordinary technical skills. We should be wary of the likes of Farfán and Beasley. We have gathered plenty of information, but the main thing is obviously how to deal with it. We always prepare ourselves adequately, but when we are trailing on 20 minutes, like we did in our game against AC Milan, following a sloppy defensive mistake, you will have to use a lot of energy to make amends."
