André Ooijer will not be called into action during the championship game against FC Groningen on Sunday afternoon. The defender, who is recovering from a broken toe, is not quite match fit yet. Theo Lucius and Michael Lamey are minor doubts. "André has sustained a nasty injury and he has been sidelined for many weeks. It is hard to get back after having been on the training pitch for just one week. He needs more time to stage a comeback. It would be irresponsible to give him playing time. We all know that a wonderful summer is coming up as well", explained Guus Hiddink during the weekly media briefing at De Herdgang training base, where he also announced the good news that Eric Addo and Gomes had signed contract extensions. Lucius and Lamey are doubtful for Sunday. They will face fitness tests on Saturday to see if they are available.PSV may clinch the Dutch title for the fourth time following a FC Groningen encounter, but the three previous titles were all won away in the Groningen Oosterpark Stadium. "It will be a special game, as FC Groningen also need a result. There are a lot of discussions going on at present and people have not stopped calculating. “Ajax have already made sure of European football. Wouldn’t it be magic if FC Groningen finished in position five? Wouldn’t it be better if FC Twente slip to defeat? And so on and so forth.” We are even discussing losing games to get a better position for the play-offs. I think that is very strange”, commented Hiddink on the play-off phenomenon. Hiddink will give his players permission to paint the town red if PSV succeed in winning the title. "Wouldn’t it be wonderful to finish the season in style? If we are crowned champions, we're going to push the boat out. But there is another expression: ‘don't count your chickens before they're hatched’!" Hiddink was not willing to outline his future plans. "We are still negotiating, but things have not been settled yet. But as far as white smoke is concerned, let it first be seen above the Eindhoven Philips Stadion. That’s my most important concern right now.’PSV (from:)Goalkeepers: Gomes, ZoetebierDefenders: Addo, Alex, Ball, Lamey, ReizigerMidfielders: Afellay, Aissati, Cocu, Culina, Lucius, Simons, VäyrynenForwards: Beasley, Farfán, Koné en Vennegoor of Hesselink.
