Winning or losing is in the details; that's why PSV head coach Ronald Koeman will pay attention to them during the five-day training camp. "We will now move into the second phase of our pre-season programme", he announced in Stoke-on-Trent. Now that the players who appeared at the World Cup 2006 have started their pre-season campaign, Koeman wants the full squad to labour hard this week. A small group of players was on the training pitch this afternoon and there will be tough sessions for the full squad as from Wednesday. "We will face tougher opposition from now on. It's great to be in England this week: we have a wonderful opportunity to work hard. A number of our new lads will benefit from the intensive and physically demanding training sessions. We will now move into the second phase of our pre-season programme, where we will focus more on details and individual development", said Koeman ahead of tonight’s pre-season friendly against Stoke City. The internationals who resumed training only yesterday will be rested, according to The Sentinel, a local paper. 'Flying Dutchmen bring their World Cup stars', was the headline above The Sentinel's match preview, in which the players with an 'English' history were portrayed. The paper passed Michael Reiziger (Middlesbrough), the Englishman Brit Michael Ball and Gerald Sibon (Sheffield), under separate review.
