PSV head coach Ronald Koeman will have to make several changes to his starting line-up for Sunday’s Johan Cruijff Shield contest against Ajax (kick-off at 18:00). Culina, Gomes, Beasley, Afellay and most likely Ooijer are not available. André Ooijer was obviously one of the topics at the weekly media briefing. “We don’t like the current situation. There are no winners. It’s just not good. Neither André, nor PSV, nor the squad benefits from this. I hope things will be sorted out shortly, so he will stay with us. I hope he will report back for duty again soon and make appearances for PSV. He is an international player who has gained a lot of experience. He guides other players and is hard to replace”, announced Koeman to the media representatives. The head coach will have to make a few changes for Sunday’s clash. Gomes and Culina are suspended and Afellay and Beasley are fighting an ankle and a hamstring problem respectively. "We do not have a full squad at our disposal. It can’t be helped. DaMarcus Beasley is recovering from a hamstring injury; he is expected to join his team mates for full training at the start of next week. Ibrahim Afellay will also join the squad on Monday." Koeman did not dwell at great length on past events. He will play one of his former clubs, where he achieved great results as head coach. "That was three-and-a-half seasons ago. It may not be that long ago, but then again, that’s the world of football for you. I rather focus on the game than on things that happened in the past."
