Young PSV had a bright start to their Cup campaign. The PSV youngsters, coached by Ernest Faber, enjoyed a 3-0 win over Fortuna Sittard at De Herdgang on Monday night, thanks to goals by Roy Beerens, Rob van Boekel and Rens van Eijden. Michael Ball, Jason Culina and Lee Nguyen, who was brought on as a substitute during last Sunday’s Johan Cruijff Shield game, were all included in the Young PSV starting line-up. Culina was replaced by Jelle Schijvenaars on sixty minutes. Young PSV will travel to Helmond Sport next week Thursday for the second cup tie and entertain Young Vitesse on Monday night for the opening league game of the new season.
