Many players were passed in review at the weekly media briefing at Herdgang. Latest signing Jan Kromkamp is set to make an appearance in Tilburg on Saturday night, but Patrick Kluivert has not been called up to the squad yet. Patrick KluivertPSV head coach Koeman has not made up his mind yet when he will bring on Kluivert for the first time. "We haven’t taken a decision yet. We’ll first assess the situation and then see whether he’ll get playing time. It is our duty to choose the most suitable time to do so. The Liverpool game would be an option, but we realise only too well that it’s a top-level game. We’ll think things over. He needs playing time to get fully match fit. He is doing quite well. He has been training well the past nine days and was made to work really hard. Patrick is keen to show his abilities soon", commented Koeman briefly on the new PSV striker.Mendez called up to the squadThee Ecuadorian Edison Mendez has been called up to he squad. "At his own request he travelled to Eindhoven, when he could have been away on international duty. Mendez has adapted superbly. As he has already gained the necessary experience, he has adapted very quickly. He has the ability to shuttle from box to box throughout the 90 minutes and is a versatile midfielder, who can play on the right or left wing." Diego TardelliThe PSV squad was complete for the first time since they met FC Twente. Diego Tardelli was the only absentee on the training pitch; he is still in Brazil to get all his paperwork in good order. "We had actually expected Tardelli to be back already, but I have been informed he needs some more time to sort out a few things. I hope he will be back by the weekend. He has played games in Brazil and is fit to start here." Jason Culina was fighting some minor problems last week; that’s why he did not join the Australian squad. "He is fit and has been called up to the squad for Saturday night’s encounter."Koeman has named an eighteen-man squad.Goalkeepers: Gomes, Moens.Defenders: Addo, Alex, Da Costa, Kromkamp, Reiziger, Salcido.Midfielders: Afellay, Aissati, Cocu, Mendez, Simons, Väyrynen.Strikers: Beerens, Culina, Farfán, Koné.
