21-year-old Brazilian forward Diego Tardelli Martins has arrived in Eindhoven. He paid a visit to De Herdgang training complex this afternoon and will watch the UCL opening game against Liverpool tonight. The Brazilian arrived at Schiphol Airport at about noon. Tardelli, born in São Paulo on 10 May 1985, was in Holland last summer to compete at the World Cup U20. Last season he spent on loan with Real Betis in Spain and São Caetano in Brazil.Tardelli can play on either flank, but he made appearances as a striker up front in Brazil as well. "When I was at Betis Sevilla, I asked Robert de Pinho de Souza about PSV. I am happy to be here; I think PSV is a fantastic club. I know Holland just a bit; we were here with the national youth team last year. Betis also played AZ in Alkmaar in a UEFA Cup tie", said Tardelli at De Herdgang on Tuesday afternoon. Tardelli paid a visit to the PSV training ground, together with his girl friend and agent. The latest signing, who recently played games in Brazil, is match fit and will join his new team mates for full training tomorrow. He does not know much about PSV. "Everybody knows international quality players the likes of Romário and Ronaldo made appearances her and so do Alex and Gomes. I know coach Ronald Koeman from his spell with Barcelona; I saw him on TV. Holland is a fine country. I can live here in quiet and relaxed circumstances, so I think I will adapt quickly", announced the forward, who prefers to play on the left wing. "I am on loan for one season and I want to make an impact at any cost each and every day so I can earn a longer contract. South AmericansTardelli completed a loan deal on transfer deadline day, but it took about two weeks to get his paper work in order. "Traffic in São Paulo got stuck", smiled his agent. Outside in the garden Tardelli showed the shirt he is going to wear this season. "It looks good", said the forward. "I would like to make my debut as soon as possible and want to help PSV win games. There are many Brazilians and other South Americans in the service of PSV and that will only help me."
