Romário scored one goal for Miami FC and needs sixteen more strikes to reach a career one thousand tally, but his club Miami FC suffered a 4-1 defeat against Vancouver in Canada in the first leg of the USL First Division quarter finals. The former PSV striker Romário de Souza Faria has scored 19 goals for Miami FC so far this season and he taken his career tally to 984 strikes. Miami play the Vancouver Whitecaps in a double leg of the USL First Division quarter finals. The winner will progress to the semi finals. The hopes of the Florida-based team were hugely dented, though, following an emphatic 4-1 defeat. Miami were already 3-0 trailing on the hour mark, when Romário curled a free kick past a four-man wall. Miami FC created plenty of chances, but they did not finish take them and even conceded a fourth goal in the closing stages. The second play-off leg will be held on Sunday, September 17 at 6:00 PM at Tropical Park Stadium. In order to advance to the next round, Miami FC will have to win by 4 goals. If they do not succeed, Romário’s North American adventure is over. He will probably return to his old love Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro, but Romário you never know where and when he will pop up. One thing is for sure, though: he will always find the net.
