PSV must be 'very alert' and 'it all has to do with concentration', explained PSV head coach Ronald Koeman at the pre-match press conference in the Atatürk Olympic Stadium. Phillip Cocu also attended the press conference. Ronald Koeman is looking forward to meeting his former team mate Erik Gerets, with whom he clinched the Dutch title, the Dutch Cup and the European Cup I in 1988. Koeman thinks the Belgian is ?a true professional?. "He always worked his socks off. He was a key player for PSV in those days and he was more than a defender: he also knew how to attack. He had some skills that made him a special player. I like to shake hands with him tomorrow, as I haven?t seen him for a long time." While analyzing Gerets? Galatasaray, Koeman often used the phrase 'inconsistency'. "They are not consistent enough in their performances, both at home and in Europe.? When Koeman was informed Hasan ªaº was ruled out of Wednesday night?s game, he announced ?it was a huge setback for Galatasaray." Koeman has played against star player Hakan Sükür. ?You don't have to tell me how dangerous he is in front of goal. He can control the ball and is an excellent header. We will have to be very alert and fully concentrated, particularly in the opening stages."Koeman thought it ?is always fun? to play in Turkey. ?There is always a wonderful ambiance. But it?s hard at the same time as well. You never know if a referee can handle the tense atmosphere. Galatasaray will enjoy tremendous support from their own fans, but if things don?t go their way, it may turn against them."Captain Phillip Cocu was reminded of last year?s game in Turkey, when PSV slipped to defeat against Fenerbahçe, after Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink had been sent off. "I don?t know if his dismissal was caused by inexperience. I was given my marching orders in a European game as well. Each game is different. We know we will face a tall task and we should be prepared as a team. That goes for each player, the young ones and the experienced ones alike", concluded Cocu.
