Patrick Kluivert is approaching full fitness, but will not make a comeback on Saturday night; when PSV play host to Excelsior in the Philips Stadium. The striker will probably put himself in contention next week, once he has recovered from his knee injury completely. Mika Väyrynen and Ismail Aissati are both ruled out of Saturday night’s match. Väyrynen and Aissati ruled outMika Väyrynen sustained a hamstring injury in Finland’s Euro 2008 qualifying game with Armenia in Helsinki earlier this week and PSV head coach Ronald Koeman fears he will be out for four to six weeks. “It‘s too bad he has been hit by an injury blow. He has sustained a small hamstring tear. We’ll just have to wait and see. Some players recover from injuries quickly”, said Koeman at the weekly media briefing at De Herdgang. Ismail Aissati is also suffering from a hamstring strain and sat out training on Friday morning. “It is not a serious injury, but he will not be available for tomorrow night’s game against Excelsior." Patrick KluivertPatrick Kluivert will join his team mates for full training for one more week, before he may make a come back. “He has indicated himself that he is not 100 % fit. He will train with part of the squad on Saturday.” The striker will not be called up to the squad to face Liverpool, either, but is set to return to the PSV side next week Saturday 25 November, when PSV entertain FC Utrecht. Jefferson Farfán will start against Excelsior. The Peru international, who met Jamaica in an international friendly earlier this week, is on his way back to Eindhoven. Koeman announced that Farfán had come through the international friendly unscathed, so he will report for duty in Eindhoven soon.
