PSV’s players will be wearing an all-blue kit tonight, while hosts Arsenal will wear their familiar red/white shirts, white shorts and red/white socks.

Six PSV players have featured in all seven UEFA Cup matches so far: Gomes, Jan Kromkamp, Alex, Timmy Simons, Edison Mendez and Arouna Koné. Of those, Gomes, Alex and Simons have played all 630 minutes. Kromkamp did not make the trip to England, but the remaining five players will be given an opportunity to extend the number of appearances. PSV have collected the lowest number of yellow cards of the sides in the first knockout round – five- but they have also received one red card, Michael Lamey, away against Bordeaux in the group stage phase. No PSV player was booked in the first leg against Arsenal in Eindhoven, but Carlos Salcido will miss the next game with suspension, if he is cautioned tonight.
PSV have scored seven goals in this season’s Champions League campaign, no last-16 team has scored fewer.
It is remarkable that PSV should never have scored a goal in the first half after seven matches. In fact they have not scored a goal in the first 58 minutes of a UEFA Champions League game this season.
