Glasgow Rangers have completed the signing of <L CODE="C01">DaMarcus Beasley</L> from PSV. The Eindhoven outfit parted company with the fast and agile winger, after the 25-year-old American international signed a three-year deal in Scotland. Beasley joined PSV in 2004 and had varying success at the Philips Stadium. Two titles, one cup Beasley, born on 24 May 1982, joined PSV three years ago from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire. The American had signed a contract with PSV until 2008, but had a loan spell at Manchester City last season. Although Beas is only 25 years old, he has gained plenty of international experience. He has won 61 international caps for his country, won the Gold Cup twice, reached a quarter final place at the 2002 World Cup, scored twelve goals for the USA and had two great Champions League campaigns with PSV. In his first season, 2004-2005, the American put in impressive performances, scoring four goals, against Red Star (group stage), Rosenborg (group stage), Panathinaikos (group stage) and AS Monaco (quarter final). After spells in the American, Dutch and English league, Beasley will now start a new adventure in the Scottish Premier League, where he will meet his former strike partner Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, who is with archrivals Celtic. Beasley clinched the Dutch title twice, lifted the KNVB Cup once and reached the Champions League semi-final once.
