PSV Media - <L CODE="C01">Jefferson Farfán</L> will be ruled out of action for two to three weeks, after tests at the St. Anna Hospital in Geldrop today revealed the Peruvian striker has a tear to the ligament in his left ankle.
After Jefferson Farfán had sustained the ankle injury during Peru’s 2-2 draw with Bolivia at the Copa América, his ankle was put in a plaster cast immediately. With the permission of PSV, the 22-year-old forward stayed with the national team of Peru, until they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Argentina. On arrival at Amsterdam Airport this morning, the Peruvian went to hospital straightaway. He will report at hospital on Monday for further examination, after which it will be decided whether he will join the PSV first-team squad for the pre-summer training camp in Oisterwijk.
