The PSV squad returned in Eindhoven last night after a tiring ten-hour trip. The players have the day off today, but will report for training at De Herdgang training centre tomorrow, after which Ronald Koeman will conduct his first media briefing of the new season.
Media representatives will be invited to have lunch with the players on the annual 'press day', before head coach Ronald Koeman and General Manager Jan Reker conduct the press conference at the Philips Stadium. All new signings will be unveiled to the media, but the official 2007-2008 team photos will not be taken until after the close of the transfer window.
PSV will turn their attention this week on the Johan Cruyff Trophy. The match is the traditional curtain raiser to the Dutch season and is contested between the previous season's league champions and cup winners. So defending champions PSV will take on cup winners Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA on Saturday, with a 20:00 kick-off. PSV will train twice on Thursday and on Friday morning.
