PSV officially unveiled their latest signings to the press at the Philips Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. After head coach Ronald Koeman and General Manager Jan Reker had conducted the first press conference of the new season, the newcomers lined up, one at a time. Kenneth Perez and young goalkeeper Cassio Ramos were the only absentees.
PSV presented eleven new signings. Ismail Aissati and Otman Bakkal, who spent last season on loan at FC Twente, put on the PSV shirt, just like summer signings Mike Zonneveld, Danko Lazovic, Slobodan Rajkovic, Jonathan Reis, Bas Roorda, Conserva Fagner and Tommie van der Leegte. Kenneth Perez did not attend the photo shoot, as he is in Denmark for private reasons, while Cassio Ramos has made a trip to Brazil to sort out formalities and obtain the necessary documents.

Ronald Koeman briefly introduced every new player. “PSV have again a genuine left back: Mike Zonneveld, who can put some lovely crosses into the box. I told Danko Lazovic this morning to take one step back in order to take two giant leaps forward in future. His fellow countryman Slobodan Rajkovic has joined us from Chelsea. He is a classy left-footed defender, one to watch for the future.”
Koeman is also delighted with the arrivals of Jonathan and Fagner, two young talented Brazilians. “Both of them are only 18 years, but they are also very talented football players. Jonathan still has a lot to learn, but at this club he will get everything a young lad needs to have: attention, development and time. Fagner is a right back and must develop muscular strength and endurance, but he is already capable of reading the game at his age.”
PSV have also signed some experienced players, such as Roorda and Van der Leegte. “Bas provides balance to the squad and can cover for Gomes as a goalkeeper and he plays an important part off the pitch as well. And just look at Tommie van der Leegte's face. The smile says it all. It is great to have him back in the PSV family and he may play an important role in the development of the youngsters.”
