Netherlands coach Marco van Basten has added Danny Koevermans to his squad for the upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Romania and Slovenia. Koevermans deputizes for Dirk Kuyt, who is ruled out with a hamstring injury, and the striker is the eleventh PSV player who will be away on international duty this week.

Danny Koevermans made his debut for the Dutch team away against Slovenia on 28 March, when he was brought on as a substitute after 73 minutes. The Netherlands grabbed a 1-0 victory, thanks to a late strike from Giovanni van Bronckhorst with four minutes remaining.
28-year-old Koevermans will vie for a place as striker up front, alongside with Ruud van Nistelrooy and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. Danny Koevermans will report for duty in Noordwijk this afternoon.
