PSV have agreed with a proposition of settlement made by the Royal Dutch Football Association to Alex. It means that the Brazilian defender will have to serve a two-match ban, one of which is provisional.Alex has been suspended as a result of the straight red card he was shown in the Roda JC league encounter last Saturday night for a final-defender professional foul on Roda JC striker Arouna Koné. Ron Verkerk, PSV Manager Match Organization and Security, announced at noon today that PSV have agreed to the proposition. The consequence is that Alex will not be available for the first league encounter after the mid-winter break on 22 January 2005, when PSV play hosts to NAC Breda. Alex will be on probation for one year.
