Jefferson Farfán sent PSV two points clear at the top of the Eredivisie as Jan Wouters' side won 1-0 against De Graafschap in Doetinchem on Saturday night. PSV have retained their top position on Sunday, after Ajax suffered a 3-1 defeat against NAC Breda at the Amsterdam ArenA, and are now two points ahead of runners-up Feyenoord and Ajax.

The rain and the wind swirled around all stadia in Holland on Sunday afternoon, but the players of Ajax and NAC Breda were not forced to defy the bad weather, as the ArenA's sliding roof was closed. The home side started brightly, but NAC soon started to dominate and carve out chances. The visitors opened the scoring courtesy of an unfortunate own goal from Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen after 25 minutes. After the break Ernie Brandts' men defended their slender lead, starting a few lethal counter attacks, and they doubled their advantage after 69 minutes. Ajax defender Heitinga misjudged a long ball kicked by goalkeeper Ten Rouwelaar and Amoah struck a low shot past Ajax keeper Stekelenburg. After Ten Rouwelaar had thwarted Ajax's best scoring efforts, substitute Ammi rounded off NAC Breda's afternoon with a peach of a goal, unleashing a powerful shot from 30 yards five minutes from time. Huntelaar netted a late consolation in the last minute of official time, taking his tally to fifty goals scored for Ajax.

The weather circumstances at the Rotterdam Kuip, which does not boast a sliding roof, were atrocious at times, with wind gusts of up to 80 kilometers an hour. Feyenoord returned to winning ways with a 6-0 thrashing of Heracles Almelo. Makaay opened the scoring for the hosts in the very first minute and added a second after half an hour's play. Centre back Hofland scored the third goal four minutes from half time. After the break, Feyenoord piled on more misery on Heracles, scored three more goals. Slory made it 4-0; Van Bronckhorst added a fifth and Wijnaldum completed the rout.
AZ suffered their fifth defeat of the season, after Louis van Gaal's team was beaten 2-1 by FC Twente in Enschede, thanks to a double either side of the break from striker N´Kufo. Pellè reduced the deficit for AZ fifteen minutes from time, while Wilkshire had a penalty saved for the hosts after 52 minutes.
