Young PSV settled for a 2-2 draw with Young AZ at De Herdgang training centre on Monday afternoon. The home side took a 2-0 lead in the first half, but the visitors reduced the deficit on the close of half time when they earned a penalty. In the second period AZ managed to score a late equaliser against a ten-man PSV.

PSV handed starts to Mika Väyrynen and Manuel da Costa, who have recovered from their injuries. With many first-team regulars watching, Young PSV took the lead after eighteen minutes, when Rens van Eijden powerfully headed home a Rochdi Achenteh corner. PSV doubled their advantage on the half hour mark. This time Stijn Wuytens was on hand to head home another pin point corner from Achtenteh. Five minutes from half time the game was turned upside down, when Eelco Horsten was dismissed for handling the ball. AZ earned a penalty and Haris Medunjanin coolly converted the resulting spot kick.
In the second half AZ created some chances, but Cássio Ramos pulled off a string of fine savers. The visitors eventually made their numerical advantage tell through Kiki Musampa, who scored the equaliser four minutes from time. Young AZ will be next in action next Monday when they travel to Arnhem to face Young Vitesse.
PSV starting line-up:
Cássio Ramos, Horsten, Da Costa, Van Eijden, Van Berlo, Achenteh, Fagner, Väyrynen, Zeefuik, Wuytens and Jonathan (85, Voss).
