Thirty-nine-year old Romario de Souza Faria, who had a five year spell with PSV (1988-1993), intends to organize a farewell game for his fans. He wishes to play one half in the shirt of Vasco da Gama and he will wear a Flamengo shirt in the other period. "These are the clubs I have taken to heart."Romario has a great career to boast of. 1994 was his best year ever. Romario was Brazil's top scorer in the 1994 World Cup and most valuable player, and he was named the world's outstanding player that year. After his spell at PSV, he was in the service of Barcelona for some seasons before he returned to his native country. The agile striker was dismissed on October by his last club Fluminense. Soon afterwards he played a gala game in Los Angeles with the team that won the 1994 World Cup.Romario was capped 87 times for his country and he scored seventy goals for the 'Canaries'.
