Young RKC Waalwijk inflicted a heavy 3-0 defeat on Young PSV at De Herdgang training centre on Monday night. PSV defender Rens van Eijden scored an unfortunate own goal, while midfielder Ismail Aissati was forced to retire on eighteen minutes after he had sustained a minor injury.
Fagner Conserva Lemos made his comeback from injury in the reserve game, after he had been out of action for several weeks due to a hamstring injury. The Brazilian played the full 90 minutes, unlike Aissati, who was forced to retire after only eighteen minutes. The hosts were already one goal down when Hikspoors left the bench to replace Aissati. A shot took a deflection off Van Eijden and went beyond the outstretched Bas Roorda. Straight after the break Charlison Benshop extended the visitors' advantage and Tim Peters wrapped up the points after 73 minutes. Young PSV are still fifth in the standings, in spite of the 3-0 defeat. They will be next in action on Monday 7 April, when they travel to Young FC Groningen.
