PSV's championship win over Vitesse has sparked familiar title celebrations, including the traditional parade through the centre of the town of Eindhoven. Fans lined the streets along the parade route and tens of thousands of supporters had come to the Town Hall Square to cheer the players, who received a heroes' welcome. The championship plate was shown to the fans that went wild on another truly wonderful evening in the history of PSV.
All the players and coaching staff had gathered on the balcony to thank their tens of thousands of fans for their loyal support throughout the season. The crowd gave standing ovations to the players as the championship plate was shown and made it emphatically clear that the football capital of Holland is not Amsterdam but Eindhoven, singing PSV-related songs.
