Ibrahim Afellay was brought on some twenty minutes from time to show his technical skills as Holland cruised to a 2-0 victory against Wales on Sunday afternoon in their final pre-UEFA EURO 2008 friendly. Afellay stepped off the bench in the 66th minute to replace Rafael van der Vaart, when Holland were already 2-0 up.

Holland comfortably eased to a 2-0 win in their final international friendly ahead of Euro 2008, with Robben putting in a man-of-the-match performance. The Dutch team faced only weak resistance from the Welsh internationals and Robben in particular frequently jinxed his way past defenders. The Real Madrid left-footed forward opened the scoring ten minutes from half time, when he broke away on the halfway line, outpacing three defenders before beating keeper Wayne Hennessey with a well-placed effort.

Holland coach Marco van Basten brought on Dirk Kuijt, Nigel de Jong, Mario Melchiot and Tim de Cler in the second half and PSV midfielder Afellay also came on as a substitute. Wesley Sneijder extended Holland's lead with a superbly taken free kick after 54 minutes, as Holland were hardly tested and comfortably coasted to a 2-0 victory.
